Take a chance, if you dare Do you care if she knows? What to do with the urge? Let it die? Or let it grow? (So hard) Summer girls can drive a man insane (So real) Window shopping messes with the brain (Just a case) Of moving on before those voice speak In this age-old game It’s the thrill of the chase A shame to waste a fantasy Though you know, you’d never go You still entertain the mystery (So hard) Summer girls can drive a man insane (So real) Window shopping messes with the brain (Just a case) Of moving on before those voice speak In this age-old game

Lights low, zoom in real slow I think we all know That he ain’t here to fix the shower Small talk, bossa in the background Sweat under the nightgown To solve this case don’t need Jack Bauer Clichés They don’t really matter when Deep down, we only want to see one thing There’s someone at the door Ring ring ring I’ve seen that face before Ripped clothes Let’s dispense with niceties Real soon I’m gonna be down on my knees And that’s when You’ll be calling out my name One more for the frame I know, we don’t need no script for this Mapped out, every angle, every kiss Screenplay, I’ve never read one quite so lame One more for the frame Skip scene The sofa’s still clean The plumber’s still keen But he ain’t here to fix the pipes Voyeur, looming in the background Getting off on each sound Just the thing the couple likes Clichés They don’t really matter when Deep down, we only want to see one thing There’s someone at the door Ring ring ring I’ve seen that face before Ripped clothes Let’s dispense with niceties Real soon I’m gonna be down on my knees And that’s when You’ll be calling out my name One more for the frame I know, we don’t need no script for this Mapped out, every angle, every kiss Screenplay, I’ve never read one quite so lame One more for the frame

Who is this man who holds my name? He drinks my tea, he steals my fame and then... (Out of sight he vanishes each time) Ladies of the night, they say, ‘Herr Gestalt, what got into you that day?’ Pray tell… (‘You were like an animal all night’) Doppelgänger He’s back on the scene Doppelgänger So filthy, so clean Doppelgänger Perverted desire Doppelgänger Doppelgänger I’d like to know what is his plan Does he intend to take my wealth and land? (Or is this just another twisted game?) How can one reason with one’s ‘self’? Those evil genes! They don’t exactly help (Holy intervention is required) Doppelgänger He’s back on the scene Doppelgänger So filthy, so clean Doppelgänger Perverted desire Doppelgänger Doppelgänger Doppelgänger It’s the Ganger! Doppelgänger It’s the Ganger!

We’re here at the party, our key at the door A chance to see what we can be No fear of going back for more The rules of engagement We nod and agree. These steps we take will make or break Our cotton wool reality Those things you said you’d never do (I hear you like it. Oh! You never tried it) It’s like your inner self is now awake The kids are fast asleep at home (No need to worry, no, not in a hurry) Collective wails, no way they can be faked We finally did this No longer a joke The taste is sweet The body heat and appetite begin to grow The next invitation, we patiently wait Foundations of this life we built They shatter and disintegrate Those things you said you’d never do (I hear you like it. Oh! You never tried it) It’s like your inner self is now awake The kids are fast asleep at home (No need to worry, no, not in a hurry) Collective wails, no way they can be faked We’ll make up a signal, if it all gets too much Some couples just watch and never touch... Those things you said you’d never do (I hear you like it. Oh! You never tried it) It’s like your inner self is now awake The kids are fast asleep at home (No need to worry, no, not in a hurry) Collective wails, no way they can be faked

I can’t see you but I know that you’re good You play formations that I wish I understood It’s getting serious. This might not be my day Can’t let the points slip. I got to find a way Last time I looked I was right on the top Didn’t think that anyone could make that bubble pop There’s so much riding on this game I can’t describe I got my team, got my ranking, got my… Stand back! Give me some space this time Could be the moment we cross that line Too late! I sussed out your style my friend Watch out! I’m coming for you ‘til the end Five hours and my eyes are open wide Defence is weak. I keep letting you inside The joke’s on me as I refuse to give in Can’t go to bed now unless I scrape a win Turn off my head set as I only want to swear The rules dictate that we be courteous and fair But it’s kind of hard to keep my cool at such a time Just one break is all I need. Give me a sign… Stand back! Give me some space this time Could be the moment we cross that line Too late! I sussed out your style my friend Watch out! I’m coming for you ‘til the end If you only knew the things I’d do to keep this dream alive You’d tell me to get help ‘Look at yourself! Now get your sorry arse outside!’ Stand back! Give me some space this time Could be the moment we cross that line Too late! I sussed out your style my friend Watch out! I’m coming for you ‘til the end

I think I’ve finally gone insane Cos I swear I shut the door When I came in just after 4 Now as I’m trying to get to sleep I hear creaking down the hall The writing’s on the wall, yeah I sometimes think we’re not alone Something creepy about this home Time to be leaving We’re hitting the road and moving out tonight I’m packing the Gibson I know there ain’t room, but we need some songs tonight And I know what’s coming next Cos I keep huddling up in bed when I hear laughter from the shed It’s like non stop Halloween The Jason mask routine A pale beheaded Queen I sometimes think we’re not alone Something creepy about this home Time to be leaving We’re hitting the road and moving out tonight I’m packing the Gibson I know there ain’t room, but we need some songs tonight What they want I wish I had a clue I’ve lost my life Don’t know what else to do Hollywood is messing with my mind Close encounters of the zombified Let’s end the ride Whoa oh! Time to be leaving We’re hitting the road and moving out tonight I’m packing the Gibson I know there ain’t room, but we need some songs tonight

I know this crazy game to play But I just can’t guarantee That you’ll leave here in one piece Stakes are crazy, yes they’re high You wouldn’t be the first guy asking ‘bout The secret billing The blindfolds and the non-stop thrilling Step inside Sign on the dotted line Your wildest dreams might just come true You can’t hide, there’s something deep inside you Compelled to find the truth Ah oh oh oh oh oh oh Ah oh oh oh oh oh oh (I’m in too deep my love) Ah oh oh oh oh oh oh Ah oh oh oh oh oh oh (There ain’t no way – to get back out of this world) Some people say it’s just a game That it feels like ‘Running Man’, with one rule to understand So take a gamble, take a risk If you win the prize, then the notes are crisp and salmon pink So are you in? Just nudge or wink Read the spiel Print your name and sign the deal From now on no-one needs to know So elite, our road’s a one-way street And this time it could be you! Ah oh oh oh oh oh oh Ah oh oh oh oh oh oh (I’m in too deep my love) Ah oh oh oh oh oh oh Ah oh oh oh oh oh oh (There ain’t no way – to get back out of this world)
